What Is an LPOD and Why Does Council Require It?

A Legal Point of Discharge (LPOD) is the approved location where stormwater from a property is permitted to discharge.

Depending on the site, the LPOD may connect to a kerb, council pit, underground drain or another approved drainage point. Its location and level can directly influence the site drainage design, detention requirements and whether gravity drainage is achievable.

RCC Engineers can incorporate the nominated LPOD into the overall stormwater strategy and engineering documentation.
